Escalate to one‑to‑one guidance when needed
The CSO Support Clinic is a community Q&A space where CSOs can ask practical questions, browse answers by category or tag, and learn from peers and expert volunteers, with the option to escalate to one‑to‑one guidance when needed.
How the Clinic works
The main Clinic page hosts a question‑and‑answer forum where civil society practitioners across Trinidad and Tobago can post questions, search existing answers, and explore real scenarios from other organisations. Questions are organised by categories and tags such as governance, funding, policies, and compliance, making it easy to discover relevant discussions for your context.
Finding and following questions
You can search questions using the built‑in search bar, or filter by status such as “No answers”, “Has answers”, “With accepted answer”, and “Answer from expert”. Registered users can also see “My questions” and “Questions I follow”, allowing you to track updates on topics that matter most to your organisation.
Role of Clinic Expert Volunteers
Some answers are provided by designated Clinic Expert Volunteers, whose responses are highlighted so you can quickly see where specialist guidance has been offered. This blends peer‑to‑peer learning with expert insight, giving CSOs access to both lived experience and technical advice in areas like safeguarding, funding, governance, and compliance.
1‑to‑1 support option
If your organisation needs more tailored help than a public Q&A can provide, you can submit a 1‑to‑1 Support Request from the Clinic. CSO Go will then try to match you with an appropriate Expert Volunteer for short, practical guidance on your specific situation, delivered via messages, email, or a brief call depending on availability.
Community‑driven, best‑effort model
The Clinic is community‑driven and relies on the time and generosity of practitioners and volunteers, so responses and 1‑to‑1 matches are offered on a best‑effort basis and cannot be guaranteed or time‑bound. Organisations remain responsible for their own decisions and are encouraged to seek formal professional advice where legal, financial, or high‑risk issues are involved.
