Before You Go
Make sure you have the following ready before visiting the Registrar General’s Office:
- Completed Form 1 — Application for Registration, signed by the controller with their title listed as “Controller”
- Copies of the constituent documents of the NPO (e.g. Articles of Incorporation)
- Copy of photo identification for each controller
- Your AML/CFT/PF Risk Assessment Questionnaire reference — this must be completed online beforehand. Do not bring a printed copy.
Where to Submit
Bring all documents in person to:
Registrar General’s Office
7th Floor
(address to be confirmed with the Registrar General’s Department)
Online registration is currently disabled. You must submit in person.
Important Notes for Incorporated Organisations
If your NPO is incorporated under the Companies Act, all details on Form 1 must exactly match the information on the CROS system. The details will be checked against CROS records and any discrepancy will result in a query, delaying your registration.
After Submission
Once your application is accepted, you will receive your Certificate of Registration under the NPO Act. Keep this certificate safe — your NPO Registration Number from this certificate is required for all future filings, including Annual Returns.
