About Form 1
Form 1 — Application for Registration is the form used to register your NPO under the NPO Act. It must be completed manually and submitted in person at the Registrar General’s Office on the 7th Floor. Online registration is currently disabled.
Questions 1–8 cover your organisation’s basic details. For incorporated organisations, all information must exactly match what is on CROS. Any discrepancy will result in a query.
Question 1 — Name of NPO
Enter the name exactly as it appears on your Certificate of Incorporation (or other founding documents for unincorporated organisations).
Question 2 — Status
Enter either:
- Incorporated — for Non-Profit Companies registered under the Companies Act
- Unincorporated — for organisations that have not incorporated
Question 3 — Telephone Number
Enter the organisation’s telephone number.
Question 4 — Email Address
Enter the organisation’s email address.
Question 5 — Principal Address
Enter the full address of the organisation’s principal office.
Question 6 — Multiple Locations
Circle YES or NO. If YES, list the full address of each additional location in Trinidad and Tobago.
Question 7 — Declared Purposes and Activities
State the declared purposes and activities of the NPO. For incorporated organisations, this must align with the Articles of Incorporation.
Question 8 — Parent Body or Affiliation
State YES or NO. If YES, provide the full particulars of the parent body or affiliated NPO (local or international).
