What is a CROS Account?
A Companies Registry Account (CRA) is your personal account on the Companies Registry Online System (CROS). It is required before you can take any steps to incorporate a Non-Profit Company in Trinidad and Tobago.
Who Needs a CROS Account?
Every person who will be listed as a Director of the Non-Profit Company must have their own CRA. You cannot share accounts. If your NPO will have 3 Directors (the minimum required), all 3 must each create their own account before the incorporation process can begin.
How to Create Your CRA
Go to cros.gov.tt and register for an account. You will need to provide:
- Personal information (name, date of birth)
- Address
- Contact information (telephone, email)
- Two forms of photo identification
- Birth certificate
Need Help?
If you have problems creating your CROS account, email the CROS Help Desk at croshelpdesk@gov.tt.
Next Step
Once all Directors have their CRA, the applicant can proceed to reserve the company name. See Reserving Your Company Name.
